Ever wish you could know the wait times of the rides at Magic Kingdom without having to schlep half way across the park to find out? Well, now there’s an APP for that…
Brent Pope says he wanted something like this iPhone APP for years. Finally, he got with some programmers and launched “Wait Times.”

“Part of the reason I did this APP is because I need this APP,” Pope said. “I need for it to work for my visits to the park. And I want it to work for other people too.”

It’s a new application that depends on community input. But there’s not much of community yet, so Brent will do most of the initial leg work.

“My plan is to be in the park every day this summer,” he said. “And to go from park to park, walking around, updating times.”

Florida Hospital in Orlando has suspected cases of swine flu that it has sent to the CDC for further testing, but those cases are not confirmed, the Orlando Sentinel is reporting.

Florida Hospital called a press conference for 12:15 to discuss the reports of a swine flu case there. The hospital is part of the Adventist Health System.

A spokeswoman said the hospital’s news release would be posted after the press conference at floridahospitalmedicalnews.com/.

Meanwhile, a spokeswoman for the Florida Department of Health said the agency would issue a news release shortly.

The Associated Press quoted the hosptial’s CEO saying a swine flu case was in a traveler visiting the Disney resort near Orlando.

“A case was diagnosed here in Orlando today on a tourist from Mexico who came to Disney attractions two days ago to visit,” chief medical officer for Adventist Health System, Loran Hauck told The Associated Press.
